Zanna’s Garden

This painting took me almost two years to complete, started in 1998 when I was pregnant with my first child, Zanna, and finished around her first birthday. We were living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A time of new life and light, my work reflected the brighter colours and organic forms of new surroundings. Summers were hot and humid, winters cold and dry, and my painting influenced by the fertile exuberance of this southern state and first months as a mother.

I work with individuals and groups of up to 30. My aim is to deliver a fun and stimulating environment in which experimentation and expression is maximised.
