Students’ Work 2015

The first four rows of images here represent some of the finest work created by my Wednesday morning regulars who have been affected by mental health difficulties. As you’ll gather from the quality of work, we have great fun and work well together making high calibre pieces, sometimes together, sometimes on our own. Each week we do something different with a new challenge.

The suggestion of holding a local exhibition of the group’s work was met with reluctance; of most value for everyone has been the weekly two-hour get together, chatting with familiar faces and the process itself of making some beautiful art. However, we agreed that a website and social media might be a good place to celebrate their achievements and share the fruits. We hope you enjoy these stunning images.

The next few rows of images show some of the work made by 7-11 year olds enrolled for art enrichment classes at Kilve Court (residential education centre) in Somerset. Inspired by the surrounding land and seascape and responding to my own abstract pieces, the students embraced the idea of radically altering their way of doing and thinking by deconstructing their interpretations and putting them together again making an entirely new picture.

Workshops for Everyone

I work with individuals and groups of up to 30. My aim is to deliver a fun and stimulating environment in which experimentation and expression is maximised.
